A Proud Father…
All parents want the best for their babies. Me and my husband always prayed for good health and all the best blessing that GOD can give him. Knowing something bad about our child would be the worst thing we could ever imagine.
A day after delivery my husband rushed to the nursery and looked for our OB to talk about the condition of our baby. We received a report earlier that Cedric had been given dextrose and oxygen since his respiratory rate was higher than the normal rate which ranges from 40 to 60. According to the explanation of our pediatrician, Cedric had swallowed liquid from the uterus. She added that it was a usual circumstance when the baby is delivered through Caesarian section. I think to make him feel better the pediatrician allowed him to carry Cedric. My husband was able to hold Cedric before me. But it was okay considering how my husband felt after getting that news. Holding Cedric would relieved him from all doubts about our little Cedric.
In the end, we were happy to learn that Cedric was okay and that he will soon be with us in our room. Thank GOD for everything!
