I was logging in to my account in yahoo to check my emails for feedback on the applications I have made and I stumbled upon a video clip that leads to a web page on yahoo about people reinventing their lives and finding real fulfillment and happiness in it. We do not realize it but there are a lot of people in the world who have jobs and wonderful compensation but they are not happy with what they are doing. That is because they failed to reinvent. They are afraid of taking risks.

Second Act is the title of the yahoo page that I have come across with and it tells about stories of brave people who took the step to forget about loneliness, pain, and worries in life by understanding the other side of their existence on earth and that is their inner and natural desire not dictated by the current needs of living the struggles in life. In the end, they found true happiness and enjoyment in what they have discovered.

For me, the most inspiring story is the story of Lisa Fisco who was once an Emmy Award-winning television producer and has now been training to become the oldest female weightlifter to compete in Olympic Games. This passion was realized after a divorce. She is an example of a brave woman who loves herself and continues to share her inspiration to other people who has suffered more or less the same unexpected frustrations in life. Nikon Coolpix S50 Battery, Nowhere to be found!

Leonard Cedric’s Christening schedule and his father’s birthday are fast approaching. We have already made downpayment for the reception and also got permission from our parish to hold Cedric’s christening in another parish. Invitations were already sent. Everything was set and made ready except our camera. At first, I thought its battery was just exhausted but I was wrong, it’s dead. We have to replace it but we could not find any shop in Cebu that sells its battery. Our camera is a Nikon Coolpix S50 and if we could not get a new battery then we will not have the luxury of taking as much pictures as we want aside from the consequence that I will not be able to take pictures for my posts. I am not losing hope though. However, if the event comes and we still do not have a new battery then I guess I will just have to rely on my friends…

What’s New on My Treasure Basket?

Been experimenting on My Treasure Basket in wordpress especially that it is Saturday and my husband is at home to take care of Cedric. I always wanted to add more things on my site. Something that would make my readers get more interested in my posts and the site itself. So I have come up of an idea of adding a widget that contains what I am currently thinking and a daily love quote. It is nice because it is customizable. I also discovered that I can actually add html codes in the widget to make it appear nicer on screen. I also think I can add animated images on it which I think would bring more life to my site. Actually, just thought of that now and will definitely try it one of these days.

Sudden Change…

Previously on My Treasure Basket’s - Keeping Cedric Safe, I talked about Cedric getting these 2 vaccines. Well, he just did. He just got immunized with 2 vaccines: Infanrix Hexa and IPD. Infanrix Hexa is a vaccine used to prevent six diseases: diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, poliomyelitis and Haemophilus influenzae type b. The other one is IPD (Invasive Pneumococcal Disease) which will protect Cedric against pneumonia and most of all meningitis. These were injected all in one session. After that, Cedric was already getting higher than his normal temperature varying from 37.1 to 37.4. It is not that high though to call it fever but I was already worried. Second, he will only sleep for 10 to 15 minutes and then wakes up again. I think he also have a problem in digestion because he always regurgitate more than what he usually does. Worst of all, he cries hard almost every 2 or 3 minutes when since birth he only cries when his hungry. For me, I can count this as one of the most difficult times of me being a mother watching my baby cry and not understanding what it is making him uncomfortable and not knowing what to do to ease him after I have tried everything to make him secure. I guess during these times, the only thing I can do is to always be attentive to the changes of his body and his needs and most of all pray and trust in the Lord that these sudden changes are just effects of a normal body reaction to forming a whole new strong immune system.

Stuff from my Sister

I have been browsing the net and checking online shops for nice stuff in preparation for my going back to work after maternity leave. I was not able to find something that I like aside from the very expensive price and the hassle of having to wait for it to be delivered. Good thing my sister did not forget to save me some of her stuff.

I got this new bag and sandal from my thoughtful and industrious sister. Since mama left to the US, my sister took over my mama’s business – buy and sell. Until now she is still selling them at a very affordable price. Below are the pictures of the stuff I got from her.
