What is Love?

I was searching the website for love quotes when I come across this definition of love. It matches that which I believe is true love for me. The idea of love comes from a novel Corelli’s Mandolin written by Louis de Bernières which takes place on the island of Cephallonia (Kefalonia) during the Italian and German occupation of World War II, according to Wikipedia.

Today is the 23rd. A celebration for me and my husband’s love. I dedicate this message to him.

Leonard Cedric turns 1!

Leonard Cedric Alejano-Licayan, my first born, celebrates his first birthday! At last, he is already 1! He celebrated it with family and friends. He also attended mass and lighted candles for spiritual guidance and blessings. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the short program. For sure, it was a blessed day.

My husband celebrated Father’s Day! It is a very memorable day for him since this is his first time. We celebrated it at my parents-in-law’s house. It is very nice to see that my husband is happy to be with his family and proud of our little one. Cedric’s grandpa is also glad to be with his grandchildren. I greeted my father as well through text since he is away from us and I was happy to know that he is doing well with my brother to spend the occasion with. I pray that my husband will be healthy and be blessed with all the good things in life. Happy Father’s Day Langga!

Isn’t it a Coincidence?

Me and my husband got married December 30, 2008. The 2 lucky people who got the garter and the bouquet were BJ and Sandie.

Last December 28, 2009, Sandie joined hands with Kerwyn and vowed to be in love forever.

Then, on January 30, 2010, BJ vowed to be one body and one soul with Warlie.

Well, isn’t that a coincidence?

With this realization, I felt that me and my husband’s wedding day was full of blessings. I just pray that we will be able to survive the hardships in life as we learn everyday being with the ones we love. Good luck and GOD bless to all of us!

First Wedding Anniversary!

Today is our first wedding anniversary! We started the celebration wit a thanksgiving by attending the mass. After that we went to Ricky Reyes Salon in SM for a make over! Then we looked for a place to celebrate the occassion with a healthy food. We found ourselves in Lamesa Grill. One of the restaurants located in the west wing of SM. Its interior is native inspired with bamboo design. They serve native food as well. Since I do not have really the appetite to eat due to a change in the sensitivity of my smelling senses I had to order “Pinakbet” without the “Bagoong” and my husband chose “Tinolang Bangus”. It was a healthy way of celebrating a year of staying together, one body, one soul. I am now 4 months pregnant with our first baby. I am very happy looking back at how we got to know each other, the sacrifices we had to go through before we decided to tie the knot and now, a year together with a promising future ahead. I am not scared but I am ready to face the challenges because I know GOD will be there with us!

A Date with Hubby before Christmas!

23 is a significant number for me and my husband. I formally said I Love You to him on that day. So every 23rd day of the month we always greet each other. Today, my husband fetch me from work. Then he brought me to Moon Cafe in Asiatown, IT Park. There I ordered Moon Steak and my husband was contented with just the Baby Back Ribs… hehehe! This is one of those times when we have a little to spare from our budget. Most of the time, we just greet each other and be happy with being together with all the differences we have and the fights but most of all with all the loving moments we keep on sharing…
